Statement

These pieces focus on the process of their creation. I don’t have a plan when I start; I just let them develop naturally. It's like digging in the dirt without knowing what I'm looking for, but recognizing it when I find it. Maybe I'm uncovering hidden truths or simply revisiting old memories. What I do know is that each painting leads me to the next, guiding me through techniques I want to explore or unresolved aspects.

I appreciate their utter self-indulgence, for I shun the shackles of idealized notions, the specters of unattainable perfection. Instead, I'm going with the flow, making decisions in the moment.

The world may clamor for the relentless pursuit of challenge and advancement, but is there not a morose beauty in embracing that which flows effortlessly from the soul? Can one truly attain greatness in the pursuit of artifice, or does true mastery lie in the embrace of one's innate essence?
